4-Year Cohort Graduation Rate

All subgroups have experienced an increase in graduation rates since AY2005 – 2006, except for students with limited English proficiency. Graduation rates for students with limited English proficiency have decreased about 30 percent over the past six years.

Making Progress – 4-Year Cohort Graduation Rates for all Students

To reach the Healthy North Carolina 2020 objective of a 94.6 percent 4-year cohort graduation rate by AY2019 – 2020 the rate would need to increase by 1.76 each year. This image highlights the target graduation rates needed for AY2013 – 2014 and AY2016 – 2017.

Dropout Rate

The measure dropout rate demonstrates the racial/ethnic composition of 7th through 12th grade students who dropped out of WS/FC Schools. Out of those who dropped out, the highest percent of students were black, while the lowest percent were Asian.
