Input/Output: The Art of Visual Data Making
Input/Output prospectus now available!
Associated Artists of Winston-Salem and Forsyth Futures have received an Innovative Project Grant from the Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County to present Input/Output: The Art of Visual Data Making. Forsyth County artists will be invited to submit artwork utilizing creative data visualization to illuminate significant issues facing Winston-Salem/Forsyth County residents. The resulting juried exhibition will be on view in the AAWS Gallery in June and July 2012, and will then travel to two other venues. Read More
Forsyth Futures Releases Physical & Mental Health Report
Forsyth County has made progress in the death rates for cancer as well as cerebrovascular and heart disease, but problems are emerging with obesity and suicide rates, according to county data released Tuesday. Read More.

TEDx Conference at Wake Forest University

Description: Let's Get Dirty! is the theme for the 7th annual Piedmont Earth Day Fair. Founded by PEA, the Piedmont Earth Day Fair is the Triad's largest Earth Day event, drawing crowds of 8,000+. Come enjoy this free, family-friendly event with lots to offer, including live music all day on a main stage, a variety of all-natural food options, hands-on demonstrations and children's activities. In addition, the Fair features over 100 exhibitors demonstrating the sustainable features of their products or services, highlighting local initiatives to protect our environment, and sharing their passion for sustainable solutions to modern day living.

Study: Wait times for psychiatric beds still 'excessive'
The number of Forsyth County behavioral-health patients experiencing a long wait for a state psychiatric hospital bed remains stubbornly high, according to a study by a Raleigh advocacy group. Read More.

Forsyth officials start mental-health court

Shuttle service meets needs of seniors
The shuttle, operated by the Winston-Salem Transit Authority, runs every Tuesday and Saturday with nine stops. It makes four loops on Tuesday and three loops on Saturday. Read More.
